Getting through the cries

It seems as if the children are trying to drive us loony. We hear them crying so often, that when they are silent or asleep, I swear I can still hear them. It is crazy to think that way, but when there are only two of us doing the work, you are bound to go stir crazy. My husband has developed Cabin Fever, although I do not believe he has come to grips with it yet. He is very exhausted and overwhelmed with the little guys during the day. I feel horrible because I cannot be there, and because we do not make enough annual income for us to put them in daycare. Daycare would mean that my hub could go back to looking for a job and finding one. Furthermore, the children would be well taken care of, would not have to fight for daddy’s attention, and would learn from the teaching that the day care provides. I know that all things happen for a reason, and of course, if he had not lost his job, it would have been worse (the kids would have been in daycare since week 8), but I feel as if somehow our faith is constantly being tested. At this point, my hubby is begging for work, just so he does not lose all those years of IT experience. It is not fair: to think that after spending all that time, effort and money on getting a degree, and working your butt off for an employer who gave you little respect, that not a single company is willing to take him under their wing. He is a good, solid worker, dedicated to accomplishing his goals, assisting in the growth of the company, and gaining some extra valuable experience. He has never failed his employer, gaining more respect and value for the company. I only hope that whatever cards God is dealing, that he shuffles my hubby into the right place. I do not want to think that we could lose our livelihood because of this.
